Capel Manor students helping us brighten up Brentford High Street

CapelManorDrawings.jpgThurs 9 May 2019 Students from Capel Manor College are helping us to green-up 10 brick containers which have been empty for many years, at Watermans Court, on Brentford High Street, opposite the Premier Inn. We saw the potential to plant in to these and Watermans Court which is part of the Co-operative Housing group, agreed for us to go ahead with the project. Air Quality Brentford is using funding received from a Inspire Hounslow, alongside supplementary funding from the Co-operative Housing group, Thorgills and TeaPigs.

Each student has worked to a tight budget and taken the south-facing aspect in to consideration, they’ve designed one container each and will carry out this project before they leave for the summer holidays in June. This is part of our ongoing efforts to #MakeBrentfordGreener.

  1. Please thank everyone involved. I look forward to enjoying their efforts, unfortunately I no longer live on that site but am willing to help organise keen gardeners to maintain the planters.
