A little time to #MakeBrentfordGreener

P11409287 April 2020 With some people spending more time at home, there has been a renewed interest in gardening and growing. Whether you have a garden, window box or window sill, Spring is a good time to get seeds planted. Gardening is excellent for mental well-being especially in these uncertain times we’re living through. Plants and trees help improve air quality, as they produce essential Oxygen for our lungs, and absorb Carbon Dioxide, a major contributor of Global Warming. Growing your own fruit and veg is fun and some colourful Spring and Summer flowers will help to lift our spirits in months to come and help to #MakeBrentfordGreener.

The Coronavirus pandemic led to garden centres closing and reports of nurseries needing to throw out all of their plants. These were able to open again post lockdown. Here are some suggestions we’ve put together for suppliers:

LOCAL GARDEN CENTRES (now re-opened post lockdown)

and there are already seeds and bulbs you can order for home delivery.
• Squires are offering home deliveries, use their contact form, http://www.squiresgardencentres.co.uk/garden-centres/twickenham/
